Duran Duran to do a Classic

DURAN DURAN are set to record a
version of a classic Midnight Oil
track in a bid to raise climate
change awareness.

The 80s pop band have teamed up
with 55 other artists and
celebrities - including Sir Bob
Geldof, German rockers The Scorpions,
French actress Marion Cotillard
and singer Youssou N'Dour - to add
their voices to the cover of the
1987 song 'Beds are Burning'.

More artists are expected to add
their support and talent to the
recording before the track is
released on October 1, at Paris
Fashion Week.

The song will be part of a campaign
headed by former United Nations
Secretary General Kofi Annan to
highlight environmental
