The Specials in Liverpool Music Week

In celebration of their 30th anniversary, The Specials
will take the stage for the Liverpool Music Week 2009.

It was in 1977 when The Specials started and were
renowned for their two-tone fashion and their political
views which were against racism. They are one of UK's
most successful bands with hits like 'Ghost Town' and
'Two Much Too Young'. Liverpool Olympia is the venue
of the band's performance on the 29th October.

James Barton (Director of Liverpool Music Week) said:
"We're really excited that such a legendary band as
The Specials will be opening this years Liverpool
Music Week at the iconic Olympia Theatre, and that
they've also chosen Liverpool to kick off their 30th
